Origin & Growth Of CCM - India
Formerly a pilot with the Indian Air Force, Colin gave his life to the Lord in April, 1990. The vision given to him by God picked up momentum as he worked in the corporate sector at Bagalkot. It was here that he met with the Lambani tribal people and established a ministry in their midst.
Over 3 million Lambani people have settled in and around Central and South India. Historically, these people have been nomadic. They have settled down to farming and various types of daily-wage labour. Their habit of living in isolated groups, which was characteristic of their nomadic days, still persists. They live under oppressive conditions of poverty, sickness and lack of proper housing and hygenic conditions. The only answer to their oppressive darkness is the Light and Love Of Jesus. Our ministry is committed to take the Gospel Of Jesus Christ to these people and plant churches among them, and to train the tribals for ministry.
Thereafter Br.Colin moved to Chikmagalur, where he worked in the coffee industry and served the Lord. In 1992, he established another effective ministry there with the engineering students. Some of them are founding members of CCM-India. Br.Colin currently resides with his wife Manisha and son Caleb in Belgaum, where he has established the administrative headquarters of CCM-India. He now provides guidance and performs as overseer for all facets of the ministry.
